Highway 82 reopens both eastbound lanes after delays
UPDATE: Colorado Highway 82 is open in both eastbound lanes as of 9:15 a.m.
UPDATE: Traffic is being diverted to Lower River Road off Highway 82 as of 8:50 a.m.
A vehicle accident is partially blocking lanes and causing eastbound traffic delays on Colorado Highway 82 as of 8:42 a.m.
There is currently at least a three mile backup at mile marker 30 approaching the Pitkin County Landfill, according to a Pitkin Alert. While the expected length of the delays is unknown, The Aspen Times will continue to provide updates as they become available.
