A splash of orange: EDEN House of Art’s vibrant new color

EDEN House of Art is bringing a burst of color and artistic vision to Aspen with its new event, “True Colors: Orange — Creativity and Loss.”
The public opening will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Eden’s gallery on East Cooper Avenue. This event marks the second chapter in the “10 Chapters of the True Colors Art Movement,” a global series hosted by EDEN’s art houses around the world.
The True Colors Art Movement explores a duality of emotions with each primary color. Each chapter focuses on a different hue and the feelings it represents. The first chapter, “True Colors: Red,” launched in Saint-Tropez, France, and explored the themes of desire and danger.
Now, the spotlight is on orange. EDEN’s Director of Brand David Laxer explained that orange represents creativity, but it also carries another side — loss.
“When you embark on the creative journey, you kind of get lost. You know how to start, but you often don’t know how to end, so we decided to put creativity and loss together,” Laxer said.
He added that Aspenites are often immersed in nature, whether they are finding inspiration in the views or venturing off-course on a trail, so this exhibit is well-positioned to complement the duality of those experiences.
The EDEN brand is known for supporting a wide range of artists, adding two new artists to their portfolio every year.
Their goal for this movement is to bring different styles together, creating a platform where artists can interpret the same concept in their own unique ways, in contrast to an exhibition, which tends to lean toward one style.

One of the featured artists is Parisian photographer Cécile Plaisance, who creates cryptic, lenticular, large-scale photography. Another is Roman Feral, also from Paris, who created a sculpted work of orange butterflies.

The Aspen event will also showcase works by Gal Yosef, David Kracov, Mario Matera, and more. Guests can expect a lively atmosphere, with a surprise guest DJ and a chance to experience art in a new, immersive way.
Chief Marketing Officer Ron Klimovsky said, “EDEN is about the art you love, not because it was sanctioned by the old guard, but because you intrinsically know what moves you.”
The gallery’s 9,000-square-foot space is designed to make visitors feel part of the art experience.
The “True Colors: Orange” Art Opening is free and open to the public. To RSVP, visit edenart.com/true-colors-orange-creativity-loss-opening or email Barbara Marks at Barbara@Seymourpr.com. A sneak peek is available on Instagram at @edengallery.
