2025 Pitkin County Coordinated Election sample ballot now available
Registered voters will see variations based on the districts they live in

Pitkin County voters are now able to view their sample ballot for the Tuesday, Nov. 4, Coordinated Election.
The sample ballot includes all races and measures for municipalities, school districts, and special districts across the county, a press release confirms, as well as state issues. Voters will ultimately receive an official ballot that contains only the candidate races and ballot measures specific to the districts in which they live.
“This year is a record year for local participation, with 13 districts and municipalities coordinating their elections with Pitkin County,” said Ingrid Grueter, Pitkin County clerk & recorder, in the release. “We encourage voters to review their sample ballot early so they can be prepared once ballots arrive.”
The majority of local measures on the ballot concern TABOR (tax) issues. Colorado state law requires that TABOR Notices be mailed to registered voters — those notices will be sent on Friday, Oct. 3.
Ballots will be mailed on Oct. 10 to all active registered voters. After Oct. 27, ballots can no longer be mailed, but voters are able to walk into the elections office and request a replacement ballot. There is also the option to vote in person at the Pitkin County Administration Building.
In-person voting will be available from Monday, Oct. 27, to Tuesday, Nov. 4, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Election Day, Nov. 4, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting will not be possible on Sunday, Nov. 2.
“We encourage voters to review their sample ballot early so they can be prepared once ballots arrive and to make informed decisions on Election Day,” the press release states.
