The team at Aspen Art + Design are reporting high sales and record-breaking attendance for Intersect Aspen 2025, which took place from July 29 to Aug. 3 during ArtWeek.

The 15th year of the fair marked the highest attendance to date, with attendance 25% greater than in 2024 for the entire fair, along with a record opening day attendance.

“Our expectations grew as the galleries, artists, works, programming, and cultural partners began taking shape this year,” Chief Executive Officer of Intersect Art + Design Tim von Gal said in a statement. “We are proud to report the sales, attendance, and overall energy far exceeded our lofty projections.”

Nearly 40 top galleries were present, which included the artworks of more than 100 preeminent artists, along with the team’s cultural partners, such as Anderson Ranch, Art Omi, and Aspen Art Museum, along with the support of Aspen community members.

Gallery sales highlights include Melissa Morgan Fine Art selling five Anthony James large-format pieces. 212GALLERY placed 45 or more works by Shepard Fairey from his new “One Earth” exhibition, as well as works by American West photographer Norm Clasen.

Other notable sales were from Winston Wächter Fine Art, which reported Ethan Murrow sales and a multimedia piece by the late Robert Wilson, “Snow Owl.” bG Gallery sold Topher Straus’ contemporary digital landscape paintings, markedly one of his debut MONSTER sofas. Varvara Roza Gallery sold several of Donna Isham’s paintings. Isham is noted for making 2025 her Intersect debut. Axiom Contemporary Gallery indicated successful sales, including placing Max Steven Grossman’s work with Aspen collectors. Maybaum Gallery also reported strong price points.

Hilton Contemporary confirmed solid sales, including photography by Cristina Mittermeier and David Drebin, as well as Carole Feuerman. Larissa Wild Fine Art closed a painting by Miriam Vlaming. Fabrik Projects placed photography by Jessie Chaney, among others. Next Step Studio and Gallery sold a sculpture installation of crows and works by Mark Chatterley.

Exhibiting cultural partner Anderson Ranch did well with print editions, exclusive to Intersect.

“We continue to be overwhelmed by this community’s kind and generous response. With such success, the bar has been raised even higher for next year,” von Gal said.

Next year’s event is anticipated to take place from July 28 to Aug. 2 at The Aspen Ice Garden. For more information, visit IntersectFairs.com.
