Shelby Valicenti joined the Summit Daily News as digital engagement editor in May 2023. She started with Swift Communications, which owns Summit Daily, in July 2019 at the Steamboat Pilot & Today, where she worked as a sports reporter, digital editor and assistant editor.
Prior to that, she worked as the sports editor for two years at The Dickinson Press in North Dakota.
Originally from southern Vermont, she earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Boston University.
She’s won Colorado Press Association awards for column writing and graphic design.
When not working, she loves hiking and running and spending time with her dog, Dallas.
