Sarah Girgis is the Publisher of The Aspen Times, where she previously served as Arts and Entertainment and Magazine editor for two years. An Emmy Award-winning writer, producer, and director, Sarah brings a dynamic blend of editorial vision and creative leadership to the historic Aspen-based media outlet.

Originally from northern California, Sarah moved to Colorado to embrace a lifestyle that balances professional excellence with a deep love of nature. Her career spans print, television, and digital media, with storytelling rooted in her passions for travel, music, art, food, and fashion. From the vibrant pace of major cities to the calm beauty of the Rockies, she brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to her work.

Beyond the newsroom, Sarah is an active participant in Aspen’s cultural life and outdoor community. She enjoys skiing, hiking, and discovering the rich artistic and historical tapestry of the region.

She lives in Old Snowmass with her husband and two dogs.
