Jessica Sachs
StaffJessica Sachs is a reporter covering healthcare, sports, recreation, ski industry, Frisco, Silverthorne and Keystone for the Summit Daily News.
She is a 2026 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with degrees in journalism and political science. While at CU, she served as editor-in-chief of the award-winning campus newspaper, the CU Independent, and was an editorial assistant at the university’s magazine, the Coloradan. She has also interned at Rocky Mountain PBS, and was a 2025 Carnegie-Knight News21 national reporting fellow, where she investigated the little-known practice of “medical deportations.”
Jessica’s work has appeared in the Associated Press, Philadelphia Inquirer, Colorado Sun, Chicago Tribune and more than 50 other outlets from Jamaica to Bulgaria. She has received accolades from the Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Collegiate Press and the New York Times.
When she’s not reporting, she can usually be found reading, painting (badly) or enjoying the mountains.
