Our children, parents, and taxpayers deserve better, we all have skin in the game.

If Katheryn was truly doing a wonderful job, she would be boasting about her accolades. She’d affirm her excellent choice to hire Jesús Rodríguez, who resigned after 17 months as Roaring Fork School District superintendent. She’d be excited to tell us all that buying him a house was the right choice to keep him here for the long term. She’d tell us that the RFSD has never been so happy with their enrollment numbers and test scores, and everything she has done to improve these numbers. She’d tell us how she has kept the school district on budget or under budget for the past four years. Instead, she has the typical politician responses always looking for a scapegoat or an excuse.

Let’s not forget the significant financial losses the RFSD incurred after implementing the self-insurance plan in July 2023 under Kathryn Kuhlenberg’s leadership. The district’s budget struggles stem from several self-inflicted issues, including a rushed development process, underqualified budget managers, inflated enrollment projections, underestimation of self-insurance costs, and a lack of quarterly financial statements, all under the leadership of Kathryn Kuhlenberg and the superintendent she hired after Jesús’ epic failure, Anna Cole.

Our children, parents, and taxpayers deserve better, we all have skin in the game. Vote Elizabeth and Jodi.
