Moreheads: Exposing corruption in Burlingame Phase 2 HOA

I am writing to shed light on the distressing situation my family faces within the Burlingame Phase 2 Homeowners Association (HOA). We have been subjected to unfounded accusations of marijuana use, fueled by the resentment of one neighboring family who disapproves of us as parents and our lifestyle choices.
My husband works at a dispensary, which has made us a target for harassment and false claims. Despite living among many families who do not share these complaints, this one household has relentlessly pursued us, creating an unbearable atmosphere of fear and isolation. The emotional impact of these accusations has taken a toll on our family life, affecting our mental health and sense of safety.
Recent findings from a Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA) request revealed discriminatory emails within the HOA, showcasing a culture that prioritizes a select few over the well-being of all residents. Will Rutledge, as property manager, has enabled this toxic behavior instead of fostering a supportive community. The HOA’s complicity in these actions is not just disappointing; it is damaging to our family and our right to live peacefully.
We deserve leadership that promotes integrity and respect for all families, not one that allows slander and intimidation to thrive. The time for change is now. We must restore the values our community deserves.
