Milnor: Yes on 7B ensures funding for the future

I would like to encourage you to vote Yes on the Basalt Regional Library District 7B measure on the ballot. 7B is the Library District measure that ensures funding for maintenance and operations in the future. Since the last mill levy request in 2006, costs for everything, including staff wages, have gone up. The library needs to be able to have competitive wages in order to function at the same professional level it has achieved in the last 10 years since the new building was constructed.

As a retired employee of the Basalt Regional Library District, I would like to see the materials and services continue to serve our community as it grows along with the rest of the valley. A Yes on 7B is necessary for that to happen. The Library District has no other source of funding.
