Knight: Vote Yes on 1A

I’m writing to encourage Pitkin County citizens who haven’t voted or turned in their ballot yet to please do so and vote Yes on 1A. If you recall, during the last general election in November 2024, we voted in favor of modernizing the Pitkin County Airport with 67% of voters in support. The planning for this project has been underway since then and now Pitkin County needs voter approval for the bonding that will mainly fund the terminal upgrade. Voting Yes on 1A authorizes this bonding and, most importantly, this is not a tax increase. Instead bonds will be repaid by airport revenues. Voting Yes on 1A ensures the airport modernization we have supported includes a state of the art, comfortable terminal with lower emissions and greater transportation connectivity for all.
