Obituary: Gerald Lilly

Gerald Vison Lilly was born in Los Angeles California on June 16, 1943. He passed away in New Orleans after a long illness of dementia. Gerald career as a artist began in Laguna Beach California in the late 60’s and sold his paintings all across America. In 1980 he founded Mountain high art and fine art school. In 1986 he moved to Aspen where he worked in his gallery where he created a new art form called “Visionary Realism”. His works have been displayed with renowned artist such as Loren Adams, Frank Hamilton and Rober Wood. In 1984 his masterpiece “Freedom” was chosen as the official world hunger poster. Gerald was not only a great artist but he also loved to play music with his friends. He loved life to the fullest and loved to share good times with friends throughout the valley.
