Aspen High School Sweetheart Passes Away in Boulder, CO. Karen (Squirt) R. Luhnow Dupuis, daughter of Marion Luhnow and step-daughter of Sandy Luhnow, who owned the Glory Hole Lodge (current location of the Sky Hotel) came to Aspen in the 1960’s. Squirt was a popular and pretty girl; the boys loved her, the girls emulated her and she had countless “best friends”. She was a sensitive, artistic, loyal, and fun loving young lady who graduated from Aspen High School in 1970. An athlete, cheerleader and runner, she also taught skiing in Austria and for the Aspen Ski School. Later she moved to Boulder, earned her degree from pharmacy school, was married and with her then-husband Dennis Dupuis had two fine sons, Eric and Matthew Dupuis. She will be remembered with love by all her knew her.
