“Playful Picking: Legendary Sam Bush pushes bluegrass boundaries” claimed Erin Pigman in an article for The Aspen Daily News March 29, 2001. “There are hot pickers, and then there are players who defy categorization. Sam Bush easily falls into the second lot. Dubbed the ‘King of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival,’ Bush has been pushing the bluegrass envelope for more than 25 years. ‘King Sammy,’ as he’s respectively coined, simply knows no other road. His bluegrass blood has been with him since childhood.” He played in March 2009 as part of the Bud Light Hi Fi Concert Series at the Snowmass Base Village, taken by Bob Krueger.
