Routine safety inspection of Castle Creek Bridge could cause delays

The Colorado Department of Transportation is planning to conduct a routine biannual safety inspection of the Castle Creek Bridge on Wednesday.
According to a press release, the work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to avoid peak traffic times, but drivers should still plan for minor delays and use caution when traveling through the inspection area.
“The inspection is part of CDOT’s routine statewide bridge inspection schedule. Inspections are conducted every two years to evaluate bridge conditions and help ensure ongoing safety and compliance with National Bridge Inspection Standards,” the release states.
Drivers can expect alternating single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers and brief traffic holds while crews conduct the inspection.
