Spring has sprung in the Roaring Fork Valley, and Carbondale’s monthly First Friday festivities got the summer flow going early on Friday night. Presented by Carbondale Arts, May’s festivities included a family block party and pride parade in downtown Carbondale.

Presented as a “family-friendly community celebration,” First Friday takes place, in fact, on the first Friday of each month in Carbondale, with the summer months bringing in the biggest crowds. While activities can vary from month to month, the constants include music, food, fun games for the kids, and no shortage of community merrymaking.
