In Aspen, Vail, Tahoe, and other iconic mountain towns, finding love can feel harder than finding fresh powder on a holiday weekend.

That’s where Keeper Introduction Services (KIS) comes in, a boutique matchmaking firm founded by internationally renowned, Colorado-based matchmaker Gabriella (Gaby) Aratow, affectionately known as the “mountain town cupid.” Through KIS, her “labor of love,” Gaby and her associates pair relationship-minded singles on thoughtful, curated introductions. KIS handles all screening calls, date planning, and follow-up.

“Every potential match is still as exciting to me as the day I began,” she says. “Since then, I’ve helped usher in countless marriages and a whole bunch of babies!”

KIS works across the United States and even the globe, with a strong footprint in high-end ski resorts. Gaby’s clients typically range from their mid-30s to mid-70s, and many live in or own homes in premier destinations. Several are connected to Discovery Land properties, such as Montana’s Yellowstone Club or the Bahamas’ Breakers Bay.

The firm is known for serving outdoor-oriented, adventure-driven professionals — people who value biking, hiking, and other activities of a dynamic lifestyle. “That’s my niche in our industry,” she says. “Everyone knows, with the folks who get on skis, go to Gaby.”

KIS serves both men and women, though its active client base is typically around 80% male. Most KIS clients are straight, but she has worked with LGBTQ individuals. Sometimes, KIS will refer a client out to a matchmaking colleague. “If someone isn’t a good fit for us, we are excellent at matching them to the correct matchmaker.”

KIS also features a no-cost “date-a-base,” which any single can enter via the KIS website. Once a profile is submitted, that makes them eligible for introductions to both KIS paying clients and clients of trusted matchmaking collaborators. “It’s like getting a free lottery ticket. It costs you nothing, and you might get a complimentary date that brings you the love of your life — so why not throw your hat in the ring? However, if you want guaranteed matches, you must get on our client list. That has a fee.”

And what does it cost to be a KIS client? “That really depends on location, age, and other requirements — anywhere between the low five figures to mid six figures. I try to take people’s financial planning into consideration.”

Gaby points out that although using a matchmaker is a powerful tool, “it’s not for everyone, just like buying a sports car is not for everyone. It’s a unique, luxury service suited to the types of time-conscious achievers who like to outsource to experts.” Because KIS profiles are never public-facing, as they are on sites such as Match.com, it’s also especially appealing to those who value privacy and discretion. And because KIS researches and interviews all candidates before anybody meets, “it gives an extra layer of safety and security.”

“Of course people are coming to us mainly for the introductions,” Gaby says, “but we do so much more. With us, you get focused, personal attention in a realm that can leave people feeling so disposable. Plus,
having a third party help to launch a new connection can really be key. It opens up another communication channel. And we’re sounding boards, gently guiding our clients to their desired outcomes. Romantic choices can be hard, and it’s important to make good ones. They will alter your entire life path.”

With more than a decade of full-time matchmaking experience and access to thousands of singles seeking their “one,” KIS offers a quality way of sourcing potential mates far beyond what regular dating pathways provide.
