Copper Mountain opens for the 2025-26 season on Friday

Copper Mountain will kick off the season on Friday, Nov. 7, with lifts turning at 9 a.m. for early-season skiing and riding.

Copper plans to open the American Eagle lift on Friday, which will give access to Rhapsody, Fair Play, and Main Vein. Copper will have a terrain park offering available at the top of the American Eagle lift with a dozen features.

At this time, Copper will not offer on-mountain beginner terrain for guests. The resort will open additional lift and terrain access as weather and snowmaking conditions allow.

As part of the opening day festivities, the resort will be giving away free hot chocolate, coffee, power bars from the Copper bake shop, and YETI Rambler’s to the first 50 skiers and riders in the American Eagle lift line. DJ Landry will be playing from 8 a.m. to noon in Eagle’s Landing, and DJ Crisp will be spinning tracks from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Aerie Patio. 

The Woodward Barn at Copper Mountain will also be celebrating its grand reopening with a Barn Bash on Friday. The event will feature a DJ set, skate and scooter clinics, a backflip factory session, and a mega ramp jam with Skullcandy and Woodward prizes.

The Barn will debut several exciting updates including a new Skullcandy mural in the mega ramp area, fresh foam blocks in the foam pits, and a new wall transfer station in the trampoline zone. The celebration kicks off with an exclusive early session for Barn Pass holders from 2 to 4 p.m. before opening to the public from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Opening weekend festivities will continue into the weekend with Copper’s annual Snowsation on Saturday, Nov. 8. The free event will include live music in Eagle’s Landing in Center Village. Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille will kick things off from noon until 1 p.m., followed by headliner Velvet Daydream from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

The celebration will also include a DJ and the Snowsation sweepstakes drawing at 3 p.m. to close out the day.
