“Hospital Thrift Shop has productive week,” The Aspen Times said on April 24, 1952.
“Thanks to generous donations of a great variety of merchandise and a large contingent of clothing, the Thrift Shop had record-breaking sales this week, which goes to prove that the shop can sell the goods if it has them. The present policy on consignments is that 15% or a minimum of $1 goes to the hospital. You may bring in an item valued at only $2, providing the shop receives a dollar profit on the sale.”
