Aspen, Snowmass occupancy ahead of pace for October

The Aspen Skiing Company, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association, and Snowmass Tourism have released the most recent Occupancy Report & Executive Summary Destimetrics Reservations Activity Report for October.
As of Oct. 1, this month was 1% ahead of last year’s pace, according to the report. Because the preceding month of September saw an increase in occupancy pace, finishing the month at 51.6%, October began ahead of last year by 7.5%. October occupancy is currently at 33.3%.
As a note, September occupancy pace for Aspen Snowmass finished the month at 51.6%, which was 2.8% behind last year’s 53%. Aspen achieved 60.3%, down 3.5% in September, and Snowmass reported 42.4%, up 0.6% in September.
Occupancy from May through October is up 1.5% from the previous year — with Aspen up 2.5% and Snowmass pacing up 0.9%, according to the report.
Currently, visible occupancy for November through March shows the resorts pacing behind last year by a combined 4.6%. Aspen is up 8.9%, while Snowmass is down 15.2%.
