Farm to Fridge, an annual community event in its 18th year that invites everyone across the Roaring Fork Valley to come together over locally harvested food, will return next month.

The event will take place at The Farm Collaborative, 220 Juniper Hill Road, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 19, with registration for a bag opening at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at farmco.org.

“Held at the close of the harvest season, it’s a celebration of care, connection, and abundance — honoring the farmers who grow our food and the community members who support them,” a press release states.

Individuals and families will be able to pick up a bag at the event filled with fresh, regeneratively grown produce from local farms, enough to feed four people at no cost, according to the release.

“The event ensures that farmers are fairly compensated while nourishing more than 2,000 people in Aspen and surrounding communities, helping the fruits of local labor go directly to mouths in our own valley,” the press release reads.

Farm to Fridge aims to provide a market for end-of-season produce, reduce waste, and bright people together through food. This year, food will be shared from Two Roots Farm, Mountain Oven, Top of the World Cultivators, Kelso Orchard, Toadstool Traditions, Greenbones, Sunfire Ranch, Rock Bottom Ranch, and produce from The Farm Collaborative’s own farm. All participating locations are within the Roaring Fork or the North Fork river valleys.

“Farm to Fridge is more than a giveaway — it’s a day of connection, celebration, and shared harvest,” the release states. “Come press cider, meet your local growers, and take home a bag of carefully tended, seasonal produce grown with love and intention.”
