Young Aspen golfers score
Two young golfers from the Aspen area scored at the Colorado Junior Golf Association tournament last weekend in Eagle County.
Jack Hughes of Snowmass Village finished in a tie for fifth place in the boys 11-13 flight at the annual Tom Whitehead Memorial.
He shot 82-78 in two rounds at Eagle Ranch and Gypsum Creek.
Jack Castiglia of Lakewood won the 11-13 division with a 75-73—148.
In the Championship Flight for older golfers, Hazen finished in a tie for 11th.
Hazen, who won the Daily Sentinel junior tournament in Grand Junction earlier this summer, shot 78 and 80 in two rounds.
His division was won by Coby Welch of Highland Ranch (75-71).
Hazen is a member of the Aspen High School boys golf team.
