DENVER ” U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association president and CEO Bill Marolt says the search for a new alpine director has been narrowed to four candidates.

Marolt said in a conference call Wednesday that an announcement is expected soon.

The position opened up when Jesse Hunt took a job as the general manager and program director of the Park City Ski Education Foundation.

Hunt took over the country’s overall alpine program after the 2002 Olympics. He has worked for the USSA for 16 years.

Marolt says the four finalists “have good quality” and experience.
