Tour in the Rockies golfers play Round 2

The second round of the 2013 Tour in the Rockies junior golf series was played this week at River Valley Ranch in Carbondale.

In the boys 18-hole event, Jack Marshall won with a 75.

Parker Klump was second at 80. Linc Kleager shot an 88.

Jack Pevny and Dawson Holmes tied in the boys 12-and-under division with 40s. Coulter Zowig shot 45.

JR Principe shot a 48. Carter Winch fired a 60.

Mac Lampe added a 63.

Kemper Locke shot a 66 while Langley Quinn shot 70.

In boys 13-and-older, Holden Kleager led with a 43. Will Pember and Henry Ferguson each shot 47.

Lillian Rosenfield led the girls division with a 70 this week.

Nickie Blizzard shot a 74.

Julia Fahy shot a 76.


Airline Climbing Trail only steps away from fall completion at Sky Mountain Park

Two Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteer projects are scheduled to assist with finish work, rock armoring and seeding of disturbed areas, according Ted O’Brien, manager of Pitkin County Open Space and Trails Resource and Trails. The events will be led in collaboration with Open Space and Trails and the Roaring Fork Mountain Biking Association.
