ASPEN – Collegiate racers, U.S. “D” Team members and other elite FIS skiers competed in the Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup from Jan. 3 through Saturday at Aspen Highlands. This was the first FIS level race of this caliber at Highlands in more than a decade.

Kate Williams, of the University of New Mexico, won all three women’s events, while on the men’s side, the podium had different racers at the top every day: UNM’s Chris Acosta, Jared Goldberg, of the U.S. Ski Team, and veteran racer Seppi Stiegler, who now skis out of Vail.
