Soccer: AHS girls roll past Rifle 3-0
The Aspen Times
The Aspen High School girls soccer team endured breezy conditions Tuesday afternoon during a 3-0 victory at Rifle.
“We played great defensively,” head coach John Gillies said as the Skiers improved to 6-1-0.
He said Arley Gordon scored Aspen’s first goal.
Lindzhi Douglass scored the second one on a shot from the edge of the box.
Gordon scored the final goal when she volleyed home a throw-in from Melody Lemke.
Rifle fell to 1-6-0.
The Aspen girls will return home to host Rangely at 4 p.m. Thursday at Aspen School District Stadium.
Next Tuesday, the Skiers will travel to Moffat County.
