RVR champs crowned

Results of the River Valley Ranch Men’s Club Championship were announced this week by club pro Alden Richards.
In gross scoring, Greg Kramer won with a 73-72—145, three strokes ahead of Steve Buchanan (73-75—148).
John Bell was third at 155 with Jake Rosenberg fourth with his 158.
Adam Desmond (165), Rich Woolley (170), Rod Sherman (172), Charles Capobianco (172), Gary Beach (176) and Matt Matchette (179) followed in order.
In net scoring, Miller Gorrie won with a score of 134.
Dave Ruechel was second at 135.
Steve Pavlin was third (137) with Tom Silverman fourth (140).
Next was Rick Borich (143), followed by Red Woolley (146), Norm Sattler (149), Rob Snyder (152), Peter Jaycox (154) and Bob Schuler (161).

Preps: Aspen volleyball hosts Gunnison in loss, boys soccer season quietly wraps up
Basalt volleyball improved to 8-4 overall after a 3-0 sweep of Grand Valley on Saturday. BHS, which started the season 0-3, had won seven straight before a 3-2 loss to Cedaredge on Friday. The Longhorns next play Tuesday in Aspen.
