ASPEN – Golf season?

Indeed.

The Aspen High School girls golf team will swing into the spring season Monday with a tournament in Grand Junction.

The Skiers, coached by Alden Richards and Don Buchholtz, will compete in the Palisade Invitational Monday at the Chipeta Golf Course on Orchard Mesa, just south of Grand Junction. Three Skiers will tee off – Zara Iacono, Katherine Doherty and Christy Buchholz.

The trio will be joined by a half-dozen Aspen teammates for the next high school tournament, scheduled for March 18 at Lincoln Park in Grand Junction.

The Skiers will host their annual invitational tournament April 25 at River Valley Ranch.
