Pee Wee football games on tap Sunday in Aspen
Are you ready for some football?
Pee Wee style?
Aspen Pee Wee football will host a series of games Sunday at the Aspen High School football field.
The Aspen third- and fourth-grade team will play Silt at noon Sunday.
Aspen No. 1 fifth- and sixth-graders will play Basalt at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Aspen No. 2 fifth- and sixth-graders will take on Glenwood Springs at 4 p.m., also at the AHS field
The public is invited to the games to watch the area’s football future.
The Aspen youth football teams are sponsored by Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224.

Preps: Aspen volleyball hosts Gunnison in loss, boys soccer season quietly wraps up
Basalt volleyball improved to 8-4 overall after a 3-0 sweep of Grand Valley on Saturday. BHS, which started the season 0-3, had won seven straight before a 3-2 loss to Cedaredge on Friday. The Longhorns next play Tuesday in Aspen.
