Murphy leads junior golfers

The Tour in the Rockies youth golf series continued this week with another round at River Valley Ranch in Carbondale.

Eighth-grader Lauren Murphy led the way. She won the boys 18-hole division with an 80.

Cole Gibson shot an 82.

Jack Marshall and Dolores Sharaf each shot 90.

Parker Klump was next with a 92.

Dillon Leasure shot a 106, and Liam Locke shot 108.

In the boys 13-and-under, JR Principe led with a 43.

Holdin Kleager was one stroke back with a 44.

Turner Bramlet and Jack Pevy each shot 46.

Coulter Zowig shot a 48, followed by Mac Lampe (56) and Quinn Langley (68).

In the girls division this week, Mae Sharaf led with a 36.

Julia Fahy and Lillian Rosenfield matched cards with 37s.

Nikki Blizzard shot 38.

Katherine Doherty added a 40.

The youth golfers will play again Wednesday at River Valley Ranch.
