Mother Puckers sweep Breckenridge

ASPEN – Call it a weekend sweep for the Aspen Mother Puckers.

The Aspen women’s hockey team swept a doubleheader from the Breckenridge Blizzard, of Summit County.

The Mother Puckers, led by Suzy Theriot’s hat track, beat the Blizzard 9-0 in the opener at the Aspen Ice Garden. She also had two assists for the Mother Puckers, who dominated possession and continually pressured the Breckenridge goal.

In the second game of the weekend, Aspen skated to a 6-2 victory, again powered by a prolific offense.

Ellen Winter has the opening shutout in goal for Aspen. She also was in the pipes for the second victory.
