Junior golfer Jack Hughes wins 4th tourney in a row

Aspen-area junior golfer Jack Hughes won his fourth consecutive tournament of the summer season last weekend. Hughes, from Snowmass Village, won the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Open at Troon North in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the 13-14 division.

He shot rounds of 73 and 75 to win the two-day tournament by five strokes over Ethan Klose of Phoenix. Josh Fambro from Taos, New Mexico, finished third, nine strokes back.

Hughes will play for the Aspen High School boys golf team in the fall.
