Wanna try hockey?
This is your chance — if you are ages 4 through 12.
“As part of Aspen Junior Hockey Summer-Fest 2014, all boys and girls (ages 4-12) are invited to Lewis Ice Arena to participate in Try Hockey for Free on Sunday morning,” said Shaun Hathaway, director of Aspen Junior Hockey.
The program is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 13, at the Lewis Ice Arena, which is located in the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC).
“Participants will be introduced to the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment,” Hathaway said. “Aspen Junior Hockey provides all equipment (including skates, pads, helmet, and a stick).“ Pizza will be served at 11:30 a.m.
“We are always excited to introduce new families to our sport,” Hathaway said. “We look forward to incorporating Try Hockey Free into our summer programming lineup.”
He said Aspen Junior Hockey will sponsor a second Try Hockey Free clinic on Sunday, Aug. 10.
