Four win freeride championships

Aspen Times Staff

Kiffor Berg and Jamie Britt were the top male and female skiers respectively, and Wallace Westfeldt and Lisa Ann Ruggieri captured the male and female snowboard titles at the POWERade Colorado Freeride Championships presented by STIHL, held over the weekend at Snowmass.

The four champs out-dueled all others as they charged the steep faces littered with rocks, cliffs and hanging snowfields of the Hanging Valley Headwall and Burn Side Cliffs at Snowmass.

More than 110 competitors competed over the two days of the championships.
