Aspen Yacht Club Regatta sails onto Ruedi Reservoir
Back on the water again.
The Aspen Yacht Club will host its 45th annual regatta Saturday and Sunday at Ruedi Reservoir.
Ruedi is located 18 miles from the town of Basalt, up the Fryingpan Road.
According to regatta director Margot Pendleton, classes for the event this weekend may include J22, Santana 20, Ultimate 20, Star, PHRF, Laser and Portsmouth.
“Spectators are welcome as well as anybody interested in racing, crewing or joining the club.”

Pendleton said racing will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“Spectators are welcome as well as anybody interested in racing, crewing or joining the club,” Pendleton said.
Spectators and participants are advised to leave their dogs at home.
