Aspen Yacht Club crowns champs

More than 45 boats hit the water at Ruedi Reservoir last wekeend for the 45th annual Aspen Yacht Club Regatta.

The 45th annual Aspen Yacht Club Regatta attracted more than 45 boats and crew members from all around Colorado last weekend.

The racing was held on Saturday at Sunday at Ruedi Reservoir.

Sailing conditions were prime with winds allowing seven races.

J22 Fleet

1st – Robin Jackson – Denver

2nd – Alan Dille – Golden

3rd – Margot Pendleton – Basalt

U-20 Fleet

1st – Marty May – Loveland

2nd – Clifford Begnaud – Erie

3rd – Jim Ulatowski – Denver

Star Fleet

1st – Tim Seeling – Frisco

2nd – Aaron Smith – Woody Creek

3rd – Jinx Stone – Basalt

Laser Fleet

1st – Fletcher Avery – Denver

2nd – Wayne Lemley – Steamboat Springs

3rd – Murray Holland – Boulder

PHRF Fleet

1st – Bruce Upton (J24) – Basalt

2nd – Alan Rowe (Andrews 26) – Evergreen

3rd – Jack Barker (Antrium 26) – Aspen

Portsmouth Fleet

1st – Stephen Eckert (Sunfish) – Boulder

2nd – Allen Buttner (Sunfish) – Eagle

3rd – Robert Stoller (Lightning) – Boulder
