Wintersköl Broomball

The annual Wintersköl Broomball Tournament is just around the corner. Play is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 12. The tourney will run from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Aspen Ice Garden in downtown Aspen.

Teams are guaranteed two games.

Entry fee is $50 per team.

Outdoor skating, sledding

The Aspen Parks and Recreation Department is offering free outdoor ice skating and sledding outside the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC). Sledding is available on Whoa Nelly Hill next to the center.

Sled rental is available for $5. They are available at the ARC front desk.

Adult Basketball League

Play will begin this week in the Aspen Adult Basketball League sponsored by Aspen Parks and Recreation. The league will run through March.

Games will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (7-10 p.m.) at the Aspen High School Skierdome.

Entry fee is $745 per team.
