Aspen Junior Hockey on cutting edge in Colorado

ASPEN – Aspen Junior Hockey is on the edge, the cutting edge.
For the first time in program history, Aspen Junior Hockey qualified five different teams for the junior state championships on the Front Range next weekend.
“This really shows the commitment of our volunteer coaches and our players,” said Tanner Williams, director of Aspen Junior Hockey. “Our program has really grown in the last two years. We’re up to 300 kids. This helps us field teams at a high level.”
As an added bonus, he said, if the teams advance to the state championship games, the Aspen Junior Hockey players will have the opportunity to play on the NHL ice at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
The Aspen Junior Hockey teams that qualified for state are Squirt B, Pee Wee A, Bantam A, Pee Wee B Green and Bantam B.
The Aspen Bantam A team swept three games in Steamboat Springs last weekend to win the division title and advance to state.
The Aspen Bantam A roster features Peter Psaledakis, Ri Gulotta, RJ Peshek, Charlie Van Allen, Burke Dailey, Zachary Levine, Conor O’Brien, Jordan Hornburg, Henry Godfrey, Chris Hoover and goalie Anders Brucker.
The Aspen Pee Wee A team won the league title and earned a trip to Denver. The Pee Wee A roster features Logan Rech, Zander Saslove, Dominic Lanese, Reece Cohan, Max Ufkes, Spencer Shaw, Connor Chesner, Logan Gorbitz, Alec Cokley, Zander Ramsey and Jamison Fuentes.
The Pee Wee B Green roster features Artie Ross Munvies, Max Bass, Ozzy Benson, Mac Lampe, Ava Ostrander, Riley Johnson, Robbie Fitzgerald, Logan Soderberg, Sarah Hoover, Emerson Jacobson, Mathew Rigney, Robert Courtenay-Morris and Henry Morrison.
The Bantam B roster includes Renee Dreher, Filip Cahak, Ryan Fitzgerald, Aiden Keelty, Brody Erickson, Ryer Gardenswartz, Reece Johnson, Ross Pingatore, Victor Zumerchik, Jordan Cottrell, Derek Leydecker, Stefan Max Palmberg, Tyler Tick, Judson Hawk IV, Vojtech Cahak, Andy Vernier and Rider Daily.
The Squirt B team also qualified for state. A roster of players was not available.
