Aspen High skates past Valor Christian

The Aspen High School hockey team skated to a big 7-0 win over visiting Valor Christian on Friday night at the Lewis Ice Arena in Aspen.

The Skiers, who scored early, dominated in all three zones on the ice against Valor Christian.

The Aspen hockey team improved to 8-7-0 overall with the Friday night win. The Skiers are 8-5-0 in the Foothills League.



Burke Daily scored three goals to lead Aspen.

Charlie Van Allen, Zac Mencimer, Ryan Fitzgerald and Liam Rigney also scored in the Skier’s victory against Valor Christian.



The Skiers continue their busy schedule Saturday with a road trip to Louisville for a game against Monarch High School.

Aspen will return home to host Standley Lake in a makeup game at 4 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Ice Arena at the Aspen Recreation Center.

Valor Christian fell to 3-11-0 overall, 2-8-0 in league.
