Aspen Demo Team wins synchro title

ASPEN – The Aspen Demo Team won the annual Aspen World Synchro Championships on Aspen Mountain.

The synchronized ski team, consisting of Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands ski instructors, defeated six other teams in the competition, staged on North American, just above Bonnie’s Restaurant.

Second went to the Telluride Ghostriders.

Aspen Team Diva, also Skico instructors, finished third.

Beam Beavo was fourth with theSouthern Synchro Skiers fifth.

Aspen Team Diva-ettes placed sixth. Beaver Creek Epic Chix finished seventh..

Teams competed in groups of six or eight. They were judged on synchronization, technical skiing, degree of difficulty and overall appearance.

Each team took four runs with the points combined to determine the winner.
