Center Tyler Moore also scored.”That line had an excellent game,” said Aspen coach Bryan Ganz. “It was their night tonight.”

Aspen outshot Summit 31-26 and Aspen goalie JoJo Hernandez recorded the win in net.Summit stalemated Aspen 1-1 in the second period – 5-2 Aspen – then Aspen added two more in the final period.

“JoJo made some big saves in the first period, shots which could’ve changed the momentum,” said Ganz.”You always want to get off to a strong start against a team like Summit, a good team that will hang around if you let them. So getting out to an early lead is important. We coasted a little bit in the second period, but we came back to the game plan in the third and finished strong.”Aspen hits the road for Colorado Springs this weekend for games against Wasson and Rampart on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
