AHS hockey beats Pine Creek on Friday
The Aspen High School hockey team ended a three-game, non-win slide Friday with a 6-0 victory over visiting Pine Creek at Lewis Ice Arena.
The game was close through two periods — AHS leading 2-0 — before a four-goal third period put the game away.
Joel Rothman and Jack Pevny had two goals each for the Skiers. Jacob Wedhorn recorded 13 saves in net.
Pine Creek fell to 2-7-1 with the loss.
Aspen, now 2-5-1 overall, will host Doherty this afternoon at Lewis Ice Arena. The Skiers beat the Spartans 3-0 on Dec. 14.
