Snowmass to host Fourth of July celebration, fireworks canceled

Staff report

Ring in the Fourth of July with your neighbors as the town of Snowmass hosts a community celebration from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on July 4.

Bring a blanket or chairs and watch the sun set on the Base Village lawn. The family-friendly gathering will feature lawn games, music and free desserts.

While a fireworks show had been scheduled, at the request of the Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District due to dry weather, that will no longer happen.

Rain or shine, the community celebration, however, is on.
