“More than 700 members of the Professional Ski Instructors of America are meeting this weekend at Snowmass Resort. Subject of the four day conference, held April 4 through 7, is the ‘Psychology of Teaching and Learning.’ This afternoon, Thursday, a demonstration was scheduled on the Snowmass ski slopes. Being demonstrated were different methods of coaching a racing team to be conducted by Spider Sabich, pro racer, former U.S. team member and Snowmass Pro …” Also offered as on-hill demos that week included “free style or hot dog demonstrations” with discussions on “hot dog teaching methods,” “workshops on teaching the handicapped” and a session devoted to “’Construction of Equipment and How it Relates to Skiing.’”
