Snowmass fire protection district to start wildfire mitigation work this week

Wildfire mitigation work starts this week

The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District will begin wildfire mitigation work this week to the Snowmass Homeowner’s Association common areas along the Faraway and Ridge roads.

Residents may expect to see dead and dying trees and brush being removed from along the roadways.

The fire district also is offering free wildfire inspections and encourages any homeowners who wish to have their property assessed to take advantage of this.
