Snowmass fire calls: Jan. 5 to 11
The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following emergency calls from Jan. 5 to 8.
JAN. 5
Medical call to 198 Gallun Lane, the ski patrol pick-up location, for a person suffering from rib pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle, the Commons employee housing complex. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
Medical call to the Timbers Club ski patrol pick-up location for a person suffering from major rib pain and coughing up blood. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Medical call to 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person who had walked in suffering from chest pain and shortness of breath. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Fire alarm at 135 Carriage Way the Tamarack Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
Mutual aid requested from Aspen Ambulance for a medical call at 198 Gallun Lane, the Snowmass ski patrol pick-up location, for a person who had hit a tree and was suffering from a laceration to their right thigh. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from an open fracture to their lower leg. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Medical call to the Timbers Club ski patrol pick-up location for a person who had fallen on a rock and was suffering from left flank pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Fire call to 229 Faraway Road, the Ridge Condominiums, for a smell of natural gas. No gas or odor was detected by our equipment.
Medical call to 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from a right lower leg fracture. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
JAN. 6
Medical call to 198 Gallun Lane, the Snowmass ski patrol pick-up location, for a person who had fallen on a rock and was suffering from right hip pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Medical call to 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from bilateral boot top fractures. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Medical call to 400 Wood Road, the Crestwood Condos, for a person who stated that they were probably passing a kidney stone. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Bridle Path Lane. No carbon monoxide was detected in the house. The occupants said they bumped the button on the CO detector by accident.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Spruce Ridge Lane. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction as no carbon monoxide was detected in the home. Property management stated that they were just there 10 minutes earlier for a different alarm.
JAN. 7
Automatic aid with Aspen Ambulance for an auto accident at the intersection of Medicine Bow and Brush Creek Roads. No injuries.
Fire/medical call to stand by at Sardy Field for an Alert 2. A plane had landed and smoke was being produced by overheated brakes.
Medical call to Parking Lot 13 for a person who had fallen, dislocating their hip. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Maple Ridge Lane. Crews detected 39 parts per million of carbon monoxide in the house. Property management was on scene and will work on ventilation of the mechanical room.
Medical call to the Timbers Club Ski Patrol pick-up location for a person suffering from an elbow injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Maple Ridge Lane. Crews detected 44 parts per million in the mechanical room in addition to low oxygen warnings. Property management was on scene to work on the problem.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Ridge Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction as no carbon monoxide was detected.
Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle, the Commons employee housing complex. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
JAN. 8
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Maple Ridge Lane. The alarm system was activated by continued readings of carbon monoxide and low oxygen. We are working with the property management and alarm companies until repairs can be made.
Fire call to 54 Snowmass Village Mall, Gene Taylors business, for water leaking from the offices above them. The water was shut off and salvage operations were done in both spaces.
Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Oak Ridge Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible defective detector as no carbon monoxide was detected in the home.
Medical call to 5275 Owl Creek Road, the fire station for a person who walked in suffering from chest pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment. JAN. 9
Fire alarm at a home on Summit Lane. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle, the Commons employee housing complex. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
Fire alarm at 690 Carriage Way, the Timberline Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.
Medical call to 45 Snowmass Village Mall, the Big Hoss restaurant, for a person suffering from a finger injury. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital. JAN. 10

Fire/medical call to the intersection of Owl Creek Road and Pine Ridge Lane for a two car accident. The vehicles were secured. No hazards were found. The occupants refused transportation to the hospital.

Mutual Aid requested from Aspen Ambulance for a medical call at the intersection of Brush Creek and Pioneer Springs Road for a one car rollover accident. The vehicle was secured. No hazards and no injuries were found.
