Aspen Camp School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing hosted its annual Deaf Camp Benefit in Snowmass on July 15. Lukas Nelson and his band, Promise of the Real, headlined the event, which also marked the Deaf Camp’s 50th anniversary. The high-energy performance included the band’s versions of classic tunes written by musical icons like Lukas’ father, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, as well as with new songs that Lukas wrote for the band’s self-titled album, which comes out Aug. 25.
