Medley of magic

Aspen Historical Society, Aspen Times Collection (Chris Cassatt)

“Snowmass magic fest stages street theater,” announced The Aspen Times in June 1982. “A medley of magical events for children of all age will fill the Snowmass Resort Mall on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20. The event is a magic and puppet festival featuring stage shows several times a day, as well as roving entertainment of all sizes, shapes and forms.” How many remember Hinton the Mime and Doc the Magician (who worked the Tower Restaurant)?

Editor’s note: This page is a partnership between the Snowmass Sun and the Aspen Historical Society

with two primary goals in mind: to improve the knowledge of Snowmass history in the region and to collect

historical photographs of the Snowmass region for the society. If you have pieces of history to donate,

please send them to archives@aspenhistory.org or call 970-925-3721.
