Santa Claus gets ready to lead the torchlight ski descent down Fanny Hill at Snowmass.

“The Snowmass Village Mall is ready for the arrival of Santa and the Snowmass Dickens Carolers,” The Aspen Times announced Dec. 19, 1985. “The Snowmass Christmas celebration will feature two concerts in the Conference Center. ‘A Snowmass Family Christmas Concert’ will be preformed Dec. 23, and the John Denver Top O’ the Rockies concert, a benefit for the Windstar Foundation, will be staged Dec. 26. … Santa will hit the slopes Dec. 21 through Christmas Eve” and will “lead the traditional Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade down Fanny Hill.”
