Letter: Thanks for successful week of celebrating art

Thanks for successful week of celebrating art

On behalf of the entire Anderson Ranch family, I would like to thank all of our generous supporters for an incredible week last week (July 12-18). Anderson Ranch presented a string of sold-out events and welcomed our National Artist Award honoree, Frank Stella, and our Service to the Arts honorees, Jennifer and David Stockman, to campus for engaging conversations as part of our ongoing Summer Series.

The week culminated in a wonderfully successful Recognition Dinner at the Hotel Jerome where we exceeded all of our fundraising goals, and we had the honor of celebrating Mr. Stella, an enduring artist and icon who is actively influencing the art world today in his more than 50-year career. It was a highlight for everyone here, including students and staff, to spend time with Mr. Stella as he visited our studios and spoke with many of our workshop participants.

This success was made possible through the commitment and contributions of those who support us here. The Ranch is deeply grateful to be part of such a giving community, one that in turn allows us to further our mission and foster a community dedicated to contemporary art-making and critical dialogue.

We would like to thank Frank Stella, Jennifer and David Stockman, Marianne Boesky Gallery, Walter Isaacson, Dr. Jeffrey Grove, our Board of Trustees, Recognition Dinner event co-chairs, our Live Auction Committee, our Art & Artists Advisory Group, all of the galleries and artists who donated artwork, the Town of Snowmass Village, Hotel Jerome, Sotheby’s, Paddle8, Aspen Magazine, Art in America, ArtInfo, ArtNews, and all who attended our Summer Series and the Recognition Dinner for their support.

With much gratitude,

Nancy Wilhelms
